The ‘No Lights, No Lycra’ global dance movement starts tonight at the Horsham Aquatic Centre. The dance sessions would continue each Thursday at 7.10pm.
Wimmera Health Care Group community health nurse Nicole Miller said the dance craze was a fully inclusive and non-judgmental space.
She said the best way to describe ‘No Lights, No Lycra’ is a daggy, non-pretentious place for women to be themselves.
“It’s set up as a space where you can completely let go, shake out the stresses of the week, and lose yourself in the music,” she said. “It’s just like dancing in your own lounge room at home.”
Mrs Miller said everyone was welcome to have a go at dancing.
“It doesn’t matter if you are a new to dancing and exercise or a gym regular,” she said. “Come and try something new. Bring a friend, work colleague, a neighbour, your daughter, sister, or your mum.”
