Taylor has spent much of his time playing across half forward as well pinch hitting in the ruck while Harris has rotated off the half back line and through the midfield.
The Vic Country side earned a spot in division one by winning five of its seven games in a lightning carnival on Tuesday.
Wins against Tasmania, NSW-ACT, the Northern Territory, Queensland and Western Australia were enough to see the side qualify for the top division despite losses to Vic Metro and South Australia.
Taylor said he was reasonably happy with how he had played in his side’s win against Queensland on Wednesday.
“There were probably a couple of contests I could have gone a little harder at but apart from that I’ve been doing pretty well,” he said.
“Our teams positioned really well – there are a couple of sore boys but we’ll continue to recover well and hopefully win our way into the grand final come Saturday.
“Playing in this carnival is always a great opportunity, and it’s a great honour to represent the boys from the bush in Victoria.”
Vic Country’s 49-point win in its first pool game against Queensland on Wednesday was followed by a 63-point loss against Vic Metro on Thursday.
Harris said the team was had a lot of familiar faces to last year’s carnival but new players had also fitted in well.
“They’ve come into the team really well and have played some good footy,” he said.
“We’ve won our way into the top division which is already better than last year.”
The side will play South Australia in its final pool game on Friday before finals on Saturday.
