PLAYERS from Horsham United’s 1988 premiership team will gather for a 30-year reunion at Natimuk United’s home game against Jeparit-Rainbow on Saturday.

Natimuk and Horsham United merged before the start of the 2014 season. Natimuk United president Adam Blake set the reunion was an important way to acknowledge the history of both merger clubs.
“It will be the first time since we merged that we have been able to get so many of those Horsham United players back,” he said.
“While any reunion is special, this one is very important for remembering the club’s history. You can feel the excitement from all the former players. We used to look up to these guys.”
Ross Jenner played at half-back during the club’s only Wimmera league premiership against Warracknabeal at Dimboola. United won 18.5. (113) to 16.10. (106).
“We beat Warracknabeal by 70 points or something a few weeks earlier and then just got over the line in the final,” he said. “It was very special being the first and only premiership for the club.”
Coach of the side Phil Bunn will be speak at the reunion dinner Saturday night.
“He was before his time and he was the greatest coach I’ve ever had,” Jenner said.
