Both teams are at different ends of the table and Kees co-coach Hamish Exell said his players are looking forward to the game.
“It was really good to beat a side (Jeparit-Rainbow) which was above us on the ladder last week and it gives everyone in the team good confidence moving forward,” he said.
“As the year goes on, everyone is going to improve, everyone is starting to get into their best form in the latter half of the year.”
Exell said accountability and positional awareness is something the team has been focused on achieving in recent weeks.
“Giving those ball carriers really clear instructions as to how much pressure they are under, and making sure we get the ball in quickly to our forwards and help them into one-on-one opportunities,” he said.
Exell said working alongside co-coach Stuart Farr has been a god-send.
“He brings another level of professionalism and his expectations are certainly achievable. I’m thoroughly enjoying working alongside him,” he said.
Tigers assistant coach Liam Jakobi said players and club members are up and about after their first season win in round nine.
“We had some good pressure in our last game and we want to take that and use it in this game against Kalkee,” he said.
“Each player and the team will set some goals and we will look to achieve those goals.”
