This massive victory came with another benefit for the Southern Roos, the team now takes over top spot by percentage leading into its round 13 clash against second-placed Kalkee.
Lakers have been suffering in 2018, with injuries and numbers, the team had 20 players from a possible 21 available to play in the match.
Simon Close was understandably named best on the ground for the Southern Roos after he collected a 14 goal haul against the Lakers.
Edward Ferguson was the closest behind Close and he scored five goals.
Twelve of the Southern Roos managed to get onto the goal scorers list in the contest.
William Plush had a strong game for the Southern Roos, he was named second best.
Laker Joel Raeck was gifted with the best player award for the wounded side.
Southern Roos coach Nick Pekin said the Lakers structured up well, the team just needed more depth.
“We needed to produce a good score to get our percentage up a bit,” he said.
Southern Roos players who did not feature in the game were James Staude and Hamish Ellis.
Staude will be missing from the team indefinitely.
