In difficult conditions at Horsham City Oval it was a low-scoring first quarter but the Demons worked their way on top to eventually win 26.22 (178) to 2.1 (13).
The Roos were within 18 points at the first break as Horsham failed to fully capitalise on its opportunities.
The Demons were again wasteful in front of goal during the second quarter. While the side managed to add five goals to the three it kicked in the first quarter it also added nine behinds.
At half-time the difference was clear as the Demons held a 64-point lead, by three-quarter-time the lead had blown out to 84 points.
Dimboola finally hit the scoreboard for the first time in the final quarter but the side also conceded 14.3 (87).
Ryan Kemp kicked eight goals for Horsham while Ben Lakin was also influential.
