A Country Fire Authority media spokesman said emergency services were called to a house in the area at 3.09am.
He said crews were on scene at 3.11am.
“Ambulance officers were required to treat a 15-year-old male with smoke inhalation,” he said.
“Crews were concerned the fire was going to spread to a shed.”
The spokesman said crews called in a number of tankers due to a shortage of water, before bringing the fire under control.
