Rupanyup Leading Senior Constable Darryl Anderson said Rupanyup and Murtoa police interviewed a 15-year-old male on Thursday about the fire, which happened on Easter Monday.
Leading Senior Constable Anderson said the youth was released after receiving a caution for his actions.
Earlier in the week, Rupanyup police charged a 42-year-old man with graffiti damage at Boydy’s Cafe in Cromie Street.
Leading Senior Constable Anderson said the cafe’s front window was painted over.
“The man was interviewed by Murtoa and Rupanyup police, and was released on summons to attend court at a later date,” he said.
