The first half was a tight tussle in Horsham, with both sides’ defences cancelling out multiple attacks. Ballarat White had most of the momentum in the first 20 minutes but Horsham’s defence held strong.
Horsham came out strong in the second half and found a breakthrough as Oguzhan Kocak rose in the box to head in a rebounded shot from July Htoo. Ten minutes later striker Noah Talbot made it 2-0, running around the opposing goal keeper before slotting into an open net.
Htoo made it 3-0 while Reuben Macchia capped off a best on ground performance with a stunning free kick goal from outside the 18-yard box. The win keeps Horsham on top of the ladder, four points above Ballarat Red.
The Falcons remain at home on Sunday, taking on Ballarat North at 2pm at Dudley Cornell.
