Improvements will also encourage drivers to reduce their speed as they approach the bend.
It is estimated that about 5000 vehicles the section of the Western Highway each day.
The funding package was made available through the state government’s Building Our Regions fund.
Member for Western Victoria Jaala Pulford said the community had strongly advocated for safety upgrades to the site.
“We’ve listened to the community and worked to make this dangerous corner much safer, thanks to a simple package of upgrades,” she said.
“We know this corner needed some work and these improvements will force drivers to slow down, which will make it a much safer corner.”
