Jarryd is a very hardworking and skilful player and is in his second year of Under 17s with the Nhill team.
He is well respected by his peers, opponents, and supporters due to the way he approaches and plays his football. He is also terrific to coach, as Jarryd is always keen to learn and improve.
Jarryd has played three senior games this year already and the club has no doubt he will have plenty more in the years ahead.
HDFNL
Horsham District Football Netball League’s round 11 winner of the Spirit of Football Award is Max McKenzie. Max has played all of his football for the Jeparit Rainbow Football Netball Club.
He has worked very hard to improve his football over the last two years, becoming a very valuable player for the club’s Under 17s team.
He mainly plays at fullback for that team, with occasional runs in the ruck. This year he undertook pre-season with the seniors which has helped Max take his football to a new level, playing quite a few games in the reserves where he has been a good contributor.
Off the field, Max is someone who is always willing to help out by running water or boundary umpiring.
The Horsham District Football Netball League round 11 winner of the Spirit of Netball Award is Ariana Ralph, of Edenhope-Apsley.
Ariana has been a welcome addition to Edenhope-Apsley Saints Under 17s team this 2018 season.
Ariana plays a pivotal role in the Under 17s team as a strong accurate goalie who is able to direct play and is well respected by her team members.
Her advancement this year has seen her become a part of Edenhope-Apsley’s A Grade side for future development. Ariana is a positive role model both on and off the court, always offering to fill jobs like umpiring each week.
The club looks forward to seeing what the future holds for Ariana in its senior ranks.
