Dimboola Police Sergeant Darren Sadler said the man was the sole occupant of the vehicle when the incident occurred.

“The male driver was driving along High Street Dimboola, near the corner of Victoria Street, at about 6pm on Wednesday night,” he said.

“He lost control of his vehicle, veered off the road and hit a wooden bollard.

“The vehicle ended up resting on the nature strip.”

Sergeant Sadler said police conducted a preliminary breath test on the man.

“He was processed at Dimboola Police station and was given a breath test, and the reading came back as 0.107,” he said.

“The man will appear at Horsham Magistrates’ Court at a later date.”
