Musgrove, originally from the Northern Territory, played his first season at the club last season before stepping up to coach this season.
He said he has loved his time at the club so far.
“I love the club and obviously the blokes plying there and everyone around the club has been unreal,” he said.
“The support has been great. This has been my first year coaching and I really want to build on that experience.
“I have learnt a lot from this year and we still have a chance to make finals and if we can do that it will make it a hell of a lot easier with recruiting.”

Rupanyup president Rodney Weidemann said it was an easy decision to re-sign Musgrove.
“It gives the club great stability heading forward and we see Jack as having quite a bright future as a coach,” he said.
“The morale around the club is sky high so we were happy to throw our weight behind him. He is young but he conducts himself very well and we are more than happy to give him another go. Hopefully we can build next year.”
Musgrove said he will return to Darwin following the season before making the move back south for the 2019 season.
“I am enjoying it down south and I always wanted to experience something different,” he said.
“I’ll be heading back after the season but these five months have been great. I will have the same arrangement next season.
“I’m excited and we had a really good rebuild this year and we need keep the same players and add a few more. Hopefully we don’t have as many injuries next year and I think the list can be pretty dangerous.”
