The Mavericks picked Creek up for their summer league team after he impressed at scout camps in June. Creek featured in five games for the Mavericks and gained more minutes as the two-week competition unfolded in Las Vegas.
Creek had a standout game against the Golden State Warriors on July 9.
Creek was named in the Mavericks’ starting line-up and in his 18 minutes on the court scored 13 points and collected seven rebounds. Dallas won the game 91-71.
Creek then earned more than 20 minutes on the court in Dallas’ final two games. Creek scored eight points in a 95-83 loss to Chicago and six points in a 96-92 win against Washington.
After his second NBA Summer League campaign in a row, Creek will now wait to see if he has done enough to earn a two-way contract with an NBA team.
