Chegwin’s B Grade Eagles side will travel to Lake Bolac to take on the Magpies on Saturday.
The very-modest Chegwin said from her 500 games it is difficult to pick out just one highlight, with her love for her club and the game her favourite thing.
“I love netball and the feeling of being involved in a club environment,” she said.
“It is great to see the juniors come through as well as getting the opportunity to play with family and good friends.”
Chegwin developed her netball career with St Mary’s before the club merged to become the Ararat Eagles.
She said in her time involved in the club and netball as a whole she has seen the great importance of the club environment in regional towns. “I think it is important for kids to become involved in clubs, especially when there isn't much to do in small towns,” she said.

“Our club is one that tries to be inclusive of everyone, no matter their ability. That is what makes me proud to belong to this club and to run out for my 500th game for them this weekend.”
Despite not being the tallest netballer in the region, Chegwin has had her fair share of success, with three premierships, including two A Grade, in her career.
Chegwin said she is very much looking forward to bringing up her big milestone.
“I was a bit worried that my body was going to break down before I got here but I have managed to get through which is great,” she said.
