POLICE are appealing for public assistance following an alleged aggravated burglary in Ararat.

Ararat Police Detective Senior Constable Caroline Blackley said the alleged incident occurred at a property on Dean Street, Ararat on July 13 at 10am.
“A male entered the property where a child was home alone,” she said.
“The man saw the child and left the property.”
Detective Senior Constable Blackley said police believe there were no other offences committed by the alleged perpetrator at the time.
“The man is approximately 166 centimetres tall, he has a medium build and we believe he is approximately 18 years old,” she said.
“He was wearing a grey hoodie jumper and jeans.”
Police drew a sketch of the alleged offender as they called for public assistance.
