Victoria was seeded into Pool A with Western Australia, NSW and the ACT.
The championships were in Adelaide.
It was a round robin event, with crossover games to Pool B and then finals.
The first game saw Victoria take on Western Australia.
Victoria won the game 6.13 (49) to 5.5 (35).
The Victorians played a consistent opening three quarters, scoring two goals in each term to create a strong lead coming into the final quarter.
Victoria demolished NSW 11.9 (75) to 1.4 (10) in its second game on Monday.
Hobbs was named among the best and kicked one goal.
Hobbs and Breuer play their final game of the pool stage against ACT on Wednesday at 9am at the City Mazda Stadium.
