About a dozen teams – many of them from the Wimmera – used the demonstration to practice for competitive races.
Other teams with vehicles in the event hailed from Ballarat, Hamilton, Millicent, Mount Gambier and Maldon.
The free event also attracted a crowd of spectators.

Horsham College racing team member Cassandra Bolwell said the expo was a great chance for competitors to test their skills.
“A lot of the trikes around here will do 20 to 25km/h, which is pretty fast for a trike,” she said.
“Some tracks have a lot of hills and some are really flat, but this track is really great because it has a bit of everything, so it’s really good to get a feel of everything.”
Fellow team member Alisha Riddington said the six-hour demonstration in Dimboola was not as long as some of the other HPV races.
“With some of our races, they go overnight. There’s 24-hour ones and nine-hour races,” she said.
“Those ones are very tiring, but you get used to it after a while.”
“The best part of doing all this is actually getting out on the track and just zooming around and having some real good fun. It’s really enjoyable.”
The number of vehicles taking part increased from 17 last year to 23 in 2018.
Schools made up the majority of the teams, however some family teams also participated.
Hindmarsh Shire Council received money from the state government’s Regional Events Fund to host the event with Visit Victoria.
The council hopes the event could become a major attraction for the Wimmera.
