The round 13 winner of the Wimmera Netball Association’s  Blue Ribbon Foundation Spirit of Netball award is Minyip Murtoa netballer Lori Young.

Lori is a valued member of the Under 17s side this year.

She predominately plays goal shooter but is happy to give any position on the court a go.

Lori has been voted captain of the under 17 team this year.

She is well respected by her teammates and her motivation and willingness to learn do not go unnoticed.

She leads by example both on and off the court.

Lori is always encouraging her teammates and opponents.

This year, Lori is also coaching the club’s Under 15B team and is working her way towards obtaining her C Grade umpire’s badge.

Congratulations Lori on being a worthy recipient of the Spirit of Netball Blue Ribbon Award.

WFL

The Wimmera Football League’s round 14 winner of the Spirit of Football Award for the 2018 season is Dylan Cole.

Dylan, who plays in the Under 17s, is a good, honest young lad that just loves playing for the Nhill Football Netball Club.

He has a great attitude towards his game and the club.

He plays the game hard but fair, he is extremely team orientated and does everything asked of him on the footy ground.

He always encourages all members of his team at footy training and tries to get best out of everyone. Dylan is a quiet kid, who turns up and does a great job.

The improvement he has shown this year is outstanding – he wants to get the best out of himself and does so.

HDFNL

The Horsham and District Football Netball League’s round 15 winner of the Spirit of Football award is Stawell Swifts’ footballer Josh Leith.

Josh has played at the Swifts since 2014.

He started with the club as an Under 14s player and was a team member of the 2014 Under 14s premiership team.

He was also a member of the 2017 Under 17s premiership team.

HONOUR: Josh Leith, of the Stawell Swifts, receives his award from Horsham Blue Ribbon Foundation member Les Power.

Josh plays the majority of his football in the backline for the Swifts.

He is always willing to help out around the club – whether it be undertaking boundary umpiring or helping out in the canteen.

Congratulations to Josh from the Swifts Football Netball Club on being the club’s Blue Ribbon recipient.
