The western conference season will conclude on Sunday, August 12 with a finals day at North Park.

All teams in the conference will be in attendance, with both football and netball matches to be played on the day. North Park was also the venue for last year’s finals day.

Wimmera Regional Sports Assembly access for all abilities program manager Nic Baird said it will be big day for all abilities sport.

“It was a great day with a great crowd last year so we are hoping for something similar again this year,” he said.

“With an extra team in the competition I would think it would be a bit bigger.”

The day will be the Giants’ last chance at a win for 2018. Baird said they have had an “up and down season” but has seen improvement in many players.

“With injuries to some key players some others have stepped up and performed quite well,” he said.

The Giants will play the Whippets again on the finals day, with their match to be held at 11am.
