Ross’ Saints failed to get the win in his milestone game, going down to a rampant Essendon side by 43 points.
The Bombers won 18.14 (122) to 11.13 (79).
In the loss, Ross picked up a career-high 43 disposals and was named best on ground for his side.

Ross also laid seven tackles, had nine inside 50s and had an 86 per cent disposal efficiency rate.
It has been a disappointing season for St Kilda who sits 16th on the ladder with four wins and two games left to play. The Saints host Hawthorn and North Melbourne to finish the season.
Ross was picked up by the Saints with pick 25 in the 2011 national draft. He played for Horsham and then the Greater Western Victoria Rebels as a junior.
