The Tigers outscored Dimboola 6.2 to 1.4 in the second term to establish a 41-point lead at the major break before going on to win 15.11 (101) to 2.17 (19).
Nhill coach Tim Bone said it was a reward for all the effort his side had put in the during the season in order to improve.
“We got together at the midway point of the season to sort out a couple of things and focus on getting better in certain areas,” he said.
“We’ve slowly been doing that.
“It took until Saturday to win but the signs have been there for the past few games – it was as close to a four-quarter performance as we have played this season.”
Midfielders Ed Pritchard and Simon Cave stood out as the Tigers extended their lead half-time lead to 72-points by the final break.
“Everyone played their roles but those two and Scott Hughes stood out,” Bone said.
Dimboola peppered the goals during the final quarter but only managed 1.7 due to a combination of inaccuracy and Nhill’s pressure.
Scoot Hughes kicked seven goals for Nhill to take his season tally to 53. He is 12 goals behind the league’s leading goalkicker, Ryan Kemp.
