The Horsham College and Horsham Saints footballer played a role as his side defeated the Queenslanders 714 (56 to 7.4 (46) at Carlton’s Ikon Park.
Martin said he had enjoyed the experience in his first chance to represent Vic Country.
“I got a few kicks and the coaches said to just keep working hard,” he said.
“The whole experience was amazing and I got to meet a lot of people and I loved the challenge.
“I have also learnt a lot.”
Martin was one of three Greater Western Victoria Rebels players selected to play in the match.
The side had a week off because of a general bye but will return to action on Saturday to take on the Bendigo Pioneers in its penultimate match of the regular season.
Its final match will be the following week against the Oakleigh Chargers.
