ARARAT Police request the public’s assistance following the use of an allegedly stolen credit card at two Ararat shops.

A police spokesperson said the card was used at both Fishers IGA and the Tasty Bird shop on the morning of August 10.
A CCTV image has been released of a female and male who police believe can assist with their enquires.
The female is described as being about 18-years-old, wearing a purple hoodie and leggings. She also has a distinctive tattoo near one of her thumbs.
The male is also about 18-years-old, with light facial hair and wearing an orange fluro top.

Meanwhile, the Ararat Police Criminal Investigation Unit is appealing for witnesses following two separate burglaries on the afternoon of August 11.
The incidents occurred on Princes and Moore streets, Ararat.
A police spokesperson said the male suspect could be described as Caucasian, aged between 30 and 40 years, and slim build with a weathered, sunken face and cheekbones.
He was wearing square frame prescription glasses, a baseball cap, dark pants and a fluro orange top underneath a green flannelette jacket. He was carrying two bags – a backpack and the other a blue bag with black handles.
It is alleged that the male stole a number of items including jewellery, special coins and notes.
