The Bombers sit two points behind Natimuk United, 32 and 34 respectively, which takes on Swifts in the final regular game of the season.
Laharum is also on 32 points and played Taylors Lake in the last round.
Bombers coach Gareth Hose said his team had nothing to lose.
“We are going to approach the game with that mentality, we need to throw everything at it,” he said.
“It’s either going to be our last game or potentially could get us a finals spot.”
Hose said his team needed to take control of the game and capitalise on its opportunities.
“We had 59 inside 50s against Taylors Lake last week but didn’t really capitalise on that,” he said.
Hose said he was wary of the quality players at Kalkee.
“We need to be winning the game in the midfield to have any chance. We have to win that battle,” he said.
Kalkee coach Stuart Farr said his team are using this game as an opportunity to fine tune style and structures before finals football.
“Last time against (Bombers) were harder at the footy and in the first half they really showed us up in that area,” he said.
“We have a point to prove and will need to be harder and better from the start.”
Farr said he doesn’t think his team is near its best yet.
“That’s the beauty of it, we have so much more to give. It’s another four quarters players can improve as a team,” he said.
