The Saints came away with the biggest victory of the round, it defeated the Tigers 23.24 (162) to 2.2 (14).
The Saints commanded play from the opening minute, scoring seven goals in the first quarter and conceded just one behind.
Oliver said his team got its structures perfect.
“I was very happy with it. We played some really good footy for those scrappy conditions,” he said.
Oliver said his team came away from the Tigers contest without any injuries.
“We have a full A and B Grade to choose from, so it will be interesting selection times come Thursday,” he said.
Oliver said he was impressed with the performances of Damian Monaghan, Jak Ryan and Taylor Milner.
“But to be honest, there were half a dozen more which were equal to them three,” he said.
“We had no passengers which is what I like to see coming into finals.”
Tigers captain Liam Jakobi said he thought the game was well played by his men.
“It was pretty sloppy conditions, so our skills were probably not the best but nor were the oppositions,” he said.
Pimpinio finished the season in 10th, one position above the wooden spooners Taylors Lake.
Jakobi said the 2018 season was an improvement on the 2017 season.
“There was a lot of positives that came out of this season. You can’t dwell on the negative things that pop up, you need to deal with them and move on then produce positives,” he said.
