Thompson took out the award after receiving 39 votes during a season where her side won every game.
She said she was excited to play finals over the next month.
“I think we’ll go alright in finals,” she said.
“Our teams really bonded this season and that has helped us on the court a lot.”
The young netballer even stepped up to play in the Pimpinio C Reserve side coached by her mother Maree this season.
She said that had helped her development.
“Playing in a harder competition is much better,” she said.
“I also get to play with my mum which has been a lot of fun.”
Kalkee’s Samantha Gerbert finished second on 34 votes ahead of Talia Iese and Rylee Hateley, who each polled 25 votes.
Thompson thanked her mum and ad for their support during season as well as her 13 and under coach.
