For the Giants it will be a chance to fine tune elements of their game ahead of finals while the Tigers will want to show how they have improved over the course of the season.
Giants coach Coleman Schache knows that his side cannot afford to take Nhill lightly.
“They certainly have some quality players and it’s their last game of the season so they’ll be fired up to try and finish on a high,” he said.
“It will be a good challenge for us leading into finals.”
Nhill forward Scott Hughes will likely attract plenty of attention from the Giants’ defensive unit. He has kicked 55 goals in 2018, 43 more than any of his teammates.
“He’s very dangerous and when they manage to get it in his hands they can generally back him to get goals,” Schache said.
The side will look to raise it’s pressure throughout the contest while remaining composed when they have the ball.
“We’ll be honing in on some of those areas we were disappointed in a couple of weeks ago, just as we did at the weekend,” Schache said.
“It’s about incorporating some more consistency to get our running game going as well.”
Brock Orval and Liam Price will likely return for Giants in the round 18 encounter.
“It’s important that we get some run in their legs again before the first week of finals,” Schache said.
“Liam is our co-captain and everyone knows what Brock is capable of.”
