Operation 19:14 will run at Sawyer Park on Sunday from noon until 4pm.
The event will include arts, crafts, rock climbing, extreme air bungee jumping, a mechanical bull and a mechanical surfboard, as well as live music.
Event committee member Yolande Grosser said the group of volunteers tried to devise a way for this event to be the best one yet.
“When people arrive they need to come to the registration area and get a gift bag and a registration card which has stamps on it,” she said.
“We give out 1500 bags for kids and then of course they all come with family.
“It’s aimed at primary school kids but we have a lot of teens coming too, so we have 300 teen bags and 1200 primary school bags.”
Mrs Grosser said some sites at Operation 19:14 was a big celebration of families and community.
She said Melbourne-based musician Levi McGrath would perform at the Sawyer Park soundshell after site vendors closed at 3pm.
Mrs Grosser said every church in Horsham had representatives on the event’s organising committee. About 180 adult volunteers will run the event. “We also have youth groups from a couple churches who are running events,” she said.
Mrs Grosser said Operation 19:14 allowed people who might not otherwise be able to afford such an event to attend and enjoy a great day out.
“You can’t actually spend money if you try,” she said.
