Worthy just clinched the award with 25 votes, one ahead of Nicola Clyne of the Warrack Eagles.
Rounding out the top three was a tie between Horsham Saint Tahni Scrimizzi and Ararat’s Philippa Bush, who both received 22 votes.
Worthy said she felt proud to win the league award.
“It feels really good, I’m very excited and pretty proud,” she said.
“I thought I might have been around third or second if I was lucky, but I definitely didn’t expect to come first.”
Worthy said she had enjoyed playing with Horsham this season, and not just because of the success the team has experienced on the court.
“I really enjoyed playing and spending a lot of time with my friends and coach at training, that was really good,” she said.
“We finished on top of the ladder and I think we are going pretty well. We are undefeated at the moment.”
