The school has purchased 20 drones after receiving a grant from the Yarriambiack Shire Council.
Minyip Primary School principal Ben Tait said the new addition to the student’s learning experience has increased engagement levels. He said students are currently learning about flight as a scientific topic.
Mr Tait said the students are using modern technology to further their understanding of how it was used in real-life.
“Students are experiencing technology that farmers use daily, which makes their learning more meaningful,” he said. “Not only is their learning more meaningful, but engagement levels have been high.
