The students raised $944.35 for the Breast Cancer Network Australia.
Assistant principal Sharon Gibbs said the students rallied behind the worthy cause with great enthusiasm. She said the junior school council efforts, in particular, were remarkable.
The students raised money by selling pink finger buns, pink ribbons and pink gelato.
“The junior school council liaised with Horsham Bakers Delight who donated $2 per packet of pink finger buns of which 137 packets were sold,” she said.
“The idea of selling pink ribbons – led by Charlotte Dotti and Katie Pohlner – had students dedicating lots of hours to cutting, folding and pinning meters of pink ribbon.”
Ms Gibbs said the owners of Gusto Fresh Pasta and Sauces, formerly known as Wheat Milk Sugar, also donated all their Friday sales of pink gelato to the BCNA.
She said the enthusiasm from both students and parents was amazing.
