In a replay of the 2017 grand final, the Burras were slow out of the blocks as the Saints piled on 17 goals in the first term at Dimboola to lead by four at the first break.
“We came out firing, we had a really big emphasis on getting a good jump at the start,” Saints A Grade coach Shannon Reinheimer said.
The Burras hit back in the second quarter, levelling the scores by half-time.
“They did get back at us in the second quarter which made me a bit nervous,” Reinheimer said.
“I had the belief if we could be patient with the ball we would run over them in the second half.”

Reinheimer’s belief was well placed, with her side going on to score 17 third-quarter goals and 14 in the final term to win 59-47.
“In the second half we were a lot more patient with the ball and were waiting for the right opportunities,” Reinheimer said.
“We had a lull in the second quarter but other than that we were pretty good for most of the match.”
Lavinia Fox and Elly Barnett were named as best on court for the Saints, while Georgia McLennan and Ashlee Knight were Minyip-Murtoa’s best.
The Saints will play Warrack Eagles in the preliminary final this weekend, with the winner to go on and face Horsham in the grand final.
