Campbell competed in the male masters white belt division and also competed well in the open weight competition.
Horsham Brazilian Jiu Jitsu head coach Jesse Millar said Campbell represented his club very well.
“We are incredibly proud of his efforts and he carried himself with a lot of grace in victory and defeat,” Millar said.
“He did us proud and we are hoping to have more students at next year’s competition.”
Millar recently returned to Horsham and started up his martial arts studio with assistance from Horsham Allied Martial Arts.
“We’ve just started out – I grew up in Horsham and moved back and needed somewhere to train so I started something,” he said.
“It’s a good alternative for people and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a form of submissive wrestling so there is no actual striking.”
