The deal is for four years and will see Lloyd contracted to the club until at least the end of 2022.
Sydney’s head of football Tom Harley said it was great for the club to have secured Lloyd’s services.
“It’s really exciting that Jake has committed his future to Sydney, signing a four-year contract extension with the club,” Harley said.
“Since making his debut in 2014, Jake has really made the most of his opportunities, emerging to become a key member of our back six.
“Jake’s the ultimate professional around the club, he’s an emerging leader and he's a key component of our team going forward.”
Lloyd was picked in the initial 40-player All Australian squad after another solid season, but missed out on being selected in the final team.
It was a big year for Lloyd who became the quickest Swans player to notch 100 games.
