It comes after the redevelopment acquired money from the Drought Communities Program and Living Libraries Fund.
West Wimmera Shire councillors endorsed 10 nominated representatives for the group at a meeting on September 19.
West Wimmera Shire chief executive David Leahy said, in a report to the council, that the project control group will act as an information conduit between the council and community stakeholders.
He said the group will provide suggestions to the council about the project’s scope and utilisation of the finished facility.
“In order to maximise the opportunities that such a development can provide, it is very important that as much local content as possible is included to help mould the facility into what will best benefit the town and its residents,” he said.
