On Sunday, the Launceston Male Choir will hold their annual charity concert, with all funds raised directed to the Rural Relief Fund supporting farmers in New South Wales.
A special guest choir, School for Seniors, will also contribute their efforts to the chorus.
The relief fund is the latest in a line of recipients from the charity event over the years – including the Leukemia Foundation, and Cancer Council Tasmania.
Though if you ask Peter Hunt, president of the Male Choir, the group are no heroes.
“We’re just a group of fellows with the same interest,” he said.
The Launceston Male Choir formed in 1935, went into recess from late 1936, but has now met continuously for the last 70 years.
The 2018 concert will take place from 2pm on Sunday, October 7 at the Launceston Salvation Army Auditorium.
Entry will be $15 and include afternoon tea.
