Friday
THE Daniher Drive will stop at the Nhill Football Club at 10am for a community event. The convoy will then arrive at the Apsley Hotel for noon for another community event. Members of the Daniher family, including Neale and current Essendon star Joe will be part of the convoy.
Saturday
WIMMERA River parkrun at Horsham’s Sawyer Park from 8am. Must register if first parkrun on www.parkrun.com.au/register.
A MASTERCLASS in portrait photography led by Rod McNicol at the Horsham Regional Art Gallery from 11am. Tickets are $25. After the workshop Rod McNicol will talk about his new exhibition at the gallery, which is free entry.
HORSHAM Historical Society’s history week audio visual photos and slides at the Mechanics Institute on Pynsent Street at 1.30am.
BURNING of the Canes at Barangaroo Boutique Wines from 6pm to 10pm. Tickets are $35 and must be purchased before the event.
KANIVA Show at the showgrounds and recreation reserve from 10am to 8pm.
UPCYCLE clothing swap at the Horsham Church of Christ from 7pm to 9pm. Entry is $10 per person.
HORSHAM Historical Society’s history week historical walk at the Mechanics Institute on Pynsent Street at 10am.
Sunday
HOPETOUN Show at the recreation reserve from 11am. Fireworks start at 9pm.
WINE with the west at Nortons Estate from 2pm. Tickets are $30 per person, plus an extra $5 to travel via bus from Horsham.
SAWYER Park miniature railway between 1pm and 4pm. The miniature train rides are $2.50 per person.
All weekend
DONALD Show on Friday and Saturday from 6am at the showgrounds on Corack Road. Entry is $20 for adults, $10 for secondary students and free for primary school students on Saturday.
HORSHAM Arts Council’s Little Shop of Horrors at the Horsham Town Hall on Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 2pm. Tickets are available on the Horsham Town Hall website or at the box office for $30 per person.
HORSHAM Regional Art Gallery exhibitions including Raquel Ormella: I hope you get this, Amabile Dalfarra-Smith: A line through landscape and Rod McNicol: Portraits from my Village are open from Saturday at the art gallery. Entry is free.
