Horsham Saints’ Sam Breuer and Horsham Demons’ Ben Hobbs were both named in the team of the tournament for the division one boys’ competition.
The players featured for the Western Bulldogs Next Generation Academy who had a solid tournament.
The academy side was also awarded as a whole, receiving the Team Development Award for the boys’ competition out of the 14 division one and two sides.
There were also accolades for the region’s girls who shone at the V/Line Cup.
Horsham Saints’ Ella Friend and Stawell Warriors’ Crystal Summers were both named in the under-16s girls’ side of the tournament.
The Geelong Falcons were awarded the Team Development Award for the girls’ competition out of the eight sides.
