The Bulls came out firing and capitalised as Horsham coughed up the ball. The Bulls scored the first try before the Panthers scored after the ball luckily ricocheted off the goal posts and found its way into the hands of the Panthers.
The Bulls then scored a few tries to hold a comfortable lead at half-time.
Horsham came out firing in the second half, scoring three tries to one, but it wasn’t enough to erase the deficit.
Coach Rob Gascoyne said the second half was much better.
“We had a bit of a chat at half-time and they came out with some fire in the second half,” he said.
“We were going against the wind in the first half but we just couldn’t hold onto the ball for our full six tackles. The boys still have a bit to learn.”
The Panthers lost Anthony Buttigieg to a knee injury during the game, while captain Jayden Gascoyne who missed with injury should return in two weeks.
Horsham has a bye this weekend and will host a fundraiser barbecue at Woolworths on Saturday morning.
