After a rocky start to the year, the committee was ready to put on a great show with a mix of old and new committee members that were very enthusiastic.
The Murtoa Show kicks off the start of the Murtoa Big Weekend and that it did. The horse program had competitors arriving before 6am and was well attended.
The ladies’ pavilion was well stocked.
Attractions included Eric the Red, the Urban Fairy, Kevin Parker’s Mini Circus and Jamie & Kim’s Zoo just to name a few. New for this year were market stalls, which proved a big hit. There were rides, old cars and tractors, displays of chooks and mini horses – something for everyone. The gate takings were up by around 25 per cent, which was fantastic.
Feedback from the public was that it was the best show ever. Thanks to all those who made this show so successful.
