The two-day festival at the botanical gardens will return for its 31st year – bringing with it an array of plants and gardening tips for all to enjoy.
For the first time last year, Horsham Urban Landcare offered an array of children activities.
Publicity officer Sonia Matthews said the festival will continue its focus on the younger generation after the success last year.
“It is important that we focus on the children and teach them about good land care because they are our new generation,” she said. “We are seeing a lot of schools growing vegetable gardens and we want to continue that encouragement. We want children to get out in the garden and grow their own plants and vegetables.”
The festival was moved forward this year, which means it was without celebrity guest speakers, but rest assured, Ms Matthews said local speakers have taken up the task. They will talk about organic gardening, bees and worm farming.
