Cr Grimble was principal for the day on Wednesday. While he has participated in the program at many schools before, this was the first time he returned to his former school. He brought with him his prep report card to share with the students.
He noted the comments that he “lacked concentration and talked too much”.
The students invited Cr Grimble to help with a community service project for Horsham PAWS.
Teacher Amy McQualter said the students were excited to make dog and cat toys with Cr Grimble. She said the toys will be donated to the non-profit organisation based in Horsham.
Laharum Primary School student leader Arwyn McInnes said the project was important because the cat and dog toys will help the animals feel happy and entertain them.
Student Patrick Price said the toys will help the animals while they wait for a family to adoption them.
