Some of Australia’s best barefoot skiers took part in competitions across the two days.
Four skiers – Michael Taylor, Tee-Jay Russow, Brendan Paige and Ben Franks – then took part in a night-time jump on Saturday night to finish off the event.
Plenty of spectators took to the banks of the Wimmera River on both sides near the Dimboola Rowing Club.
Dimboola’s Andrew Schulz was the town’s only representative in the event, while club member Jesse Crisp also competed.
The event is named in honour of Peter Taylor, a former skier from Ballarat who regularly skied at Dimboola.
His son Michael Taylor competed in the jump with plenty of support from the sidelines as he took to the water for his three jumps.
Franks won the jump competition with a 25.2 metre jump, after each jumper had three attempts, except for Paige who took just the one.
The club thanked Melbourne’s Trent Hodge for donating $4,000 for the fireworks display.
