HORSHAM Police have arrested a man following a fire that destroyed Horsham Florist on Saturday.

Sergeant Jason Bergen said police arrested and questioned a 36-year-old Horsham man on Monday morning.
“He was arrested and charged with burglary, theft and arson,” he said.
The man was set to appear at Horsham Magistrates’ Court for a bail hearing on Monday.
Speaking to the Wimmera Mail-Times on Saturday, Detective Senior Constable Neale Roberts said the business was broken into between 2am and 6am on Saturday.
“Someone has broken into the business through the roof, ransacked the offices and sales area, stole cash and then lit the place on fire to destroy any DNA and forensic evidence,” he said.
Horsham Florist suffered extensive damage to both the building and its stock, as well as, smoke damage. It will be closed until further notice.
