St Arnaud SES was kept busy, with flooding occuring throughout the town.
“We had six call outs to flash flooding and water in shops,” St Arnaud SES controller Max Decker said.
“We were out there cleaning it up and we were kept busy trying to clean up our own places.”
As the rain disappeared and the sun shone through the water quickly receded.
“It is a lot better now,” Mr Decker said in the afternoon.
“We haven’t had anymore rain which meant the water quickly moved away.
“There will be a bit of building damage to at least one of the places we were called out.”
St Arnaud police were not called out during the floods at all.
“We had some water over the Wimmera highway but it has all gone to where it should be now,” Sergeant Bill Alford said.
