Meech rode Matt Cumani-trained One More Try to victory in race two on Tuesday morning.
The four-year-old mare was too good for her competition in the 1700 metre, $120,000 race, winning by nearly half a length in a close contest.
"It really panned out awesome for me with where I was in the run," Meech said after the race.
The race took place in atrocious conditions, with heavy rain making things difficult for all involved.
"She (One More Try) loves these conditions, I think she's won every start on them," Meech said.
The win adds to Meech's strong start to the 2018-19 season, now sitting atop the Victorian jockey premiership standings with a winning strike rate of more than 20 per cent.
