The McIntyre brothers are originally from Edenhope but Ben lives in Melbourne and Tim in Adelaide.
Ben comes from the number-one ranked amateur league in the state the Eastern Football League where he played division one senior football for Blackburn.
He played nine games this season but had a standout year in 2017 where he played 15 games and was named in the best on nine occasions.
Tim, who also does some bodybuilding, comes from Mundulla in the Kowree-Naracoorte-Tatiara Football League where he won the leagues best and fairest medal for this season, a medal his brother won in 2014.
Burras coach John Delahunty said he was excited by not only the players talent but also their professionalism and desire to join the club.
They were really both keen to play with one another next year and both had quite a few connections to the club which give us a foot in the door, he said.
They have been very professional and really wanted to get to know the club and us as coaches first. They already had a good understanding of our reputation and their professionalism encourages me to know they will be doing the right things away from the club.
The two players join assistant coach Tim MacKenzie as new signings to the club.
We set out on a plan to make sure we only recruited midfielders and fit players and they fit that category down to the tee, Delahunty said.
I want to make sure we are one of the fittest teams around and thats where I see benefit will come from. These recruits will be handy but the improvement for us will come from everyones own development.
Then with Tim MacKenzie, he is fantastic and Ive enjoyed working with him on the coaching side of things the last couple months. He has moved back to the area and is a long-term addition for us.
With the losses of Pat Purcell and Damian Cameron, Delahunty said he was confident the new signings would bolster the side but was adamant if the side is to push for finals, improvement must come from within the existing squad.
Im very comfortable with how the list is shaping up at the moment, he said.
