A Royal Melbourne Hospital spokeswoman said the man is still in a serious condition at the hospital.
Update, 5pm, 12/11/18:
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said paramedics assessed the man at the scene.
“He had serious injuries to his head and is still in a serious condition. He is currently being flown by air ambulance to hospital,” she said.

A MAN in his 40s is in a serious condition after he fell while rock-climbing at Mt Arapiles on Monday afternoon.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said emergency crews were called to the incident at 2.40pm.
“The man is in a serious condition with a serious injury to his head. He will be flown to hospital by air ambulance,” she said.
It was the second incident at the popular rock-climbing destination in a day after a man in his 60s was rescued after falling from the from Centenary Park Access Track.
