Grass shoots are set to be sown at the newly refurbished oval this week, and corelas are threatening to damage the resurfacing efforts by digging up vegetation and creating holes.
To combat the issue, the Saints have acquired a permit to shoot the birds at the oval, in an attempt to keep damage to a minimum.
Horsham Saints cricket club vice president Glenn Carroll said it was important to keep corellas away from the redevelopment project to ensure plans remained on the right track.

“It’s a big project worth tens of thousands of dollars, so we really want to get this right,” Mr Carroll said.
“They can cause a lot of damage and ruin the whole project.”
Mr Carroll said the recently installed irrigation system at the ground had been a success, thanks to the work of volunteers from the football, netball and cricket clubs.
The ground is currently scheduled to be usable by the opening round of next years football season.
